Well, that was eventful.

[So says Tamamo after she's had a fresh shower, because frankly she's too tired to fight over the bed and just wants to feel a little more polished after all of that nonsense. Are there towels? Uh if not, she's gonna walk around naked, sorry roommate. She'll at least pretend to be quick about putting her kimono back on.]

I forgot how much I hate dealing with demons.

[ i don't think the towels restock themselves, so... ]

As much as you hate doing the laundry?

[ Zero's sprawled out on the bed, limbs taking up a good chunk of space. she's tiiiiired, why doesn't the ballroom have chairs or something useful? ]

Daemons have the decency to be gigantic, obnoxious targets in my world. What are they like in yours?

It varied... some where large, like pillars, with thousands of eyes staring into your soul.

[A simple shrug, as she pulls her kimono over her frame]

Those were formidable, but easy enough to deal with. The ones I couldn't stand were the demons that hid away like vermin.

Vermin, huh? Did you exterminate them like vermin too?

[ she sounds mildly curious even as she traces non-existent cracks in the ceiling. ]

... The ones here might be more like parasites than rats, though.

[Her kimono now fully on, she'll take a seat by the edge of the bed -- not getting in. Sleep isn't something she craves at the moment]

If they crossed my path, then I dealt with them. Nothing more or less than that.

But you're not wrong. And dealing with our current demons might have more complications attached.

[ Zero splayed across the mattress probably doesn't help, but she also doesn't make a move besides turning her head to look at Tamamo. ]

It said it was going to keep coming back. [ when the demon had finally stopped pretending after the trial. ] It's probably going to get smarter about covering its tracks, if nothing else.

We know it's a decent actor, and can likely replicate any of us, even if that stings our pride.

[It certainly stings Tamamo's]

Either we find ways to keep up with it, take it out, or we'll all be dead in a couple of weeks.

Or worse, vessels for the demons run wild in.

[ Zero's not down with being a meatsuit. ]

Maybe there's a way we can seal it.

If we can't outright kill it, that would be our next best option.

[Glancing at her hand, working it into a fist and then relaxing it]

Do you have any experience in such endeavors?

... I usually just throw a dragon at the problem and let nature take its course.

[ that or she throws herself at it and massacres the problem out of the way. ]

And no, my specialities are more... curse-oriented. A little different than sealing entities away.

Well, I doubt any of us are hiding a dragon in our back pockets. Maybe you can curse them with bad aim or something. That would make it easier to defend ourselves when the demons come knocking.

And I certainly would, if I had the means. Or just curse them to death, that was always satisfying in the heat of battle.

I'm not really one for magic in the middle of a fight, but I doubt any could have stood up to an Intoner's power.

So yes, I'd prefer to avoid it.

Hmph. I won't pretend it wasn't to my favor. I kept my silence near the end because I have no intentions of dying here, and her grave was as good as dug.
