[So a lot of things went wrong very quickly and there is a reason why Tamamo is riding piggyback on Kanesan this fine Wednesday, her head just lulled on top of his because she can't be assed to move.
She's not bothering to say anything either, so. Sorry sword person, the burden of conversation is gonna be on you for a while after a knock on the door.]
[Uh. Well. There's a knock and he's not sure what to do with that so he's getting up to open and door and spotting two people he wasn't sure he'd ever see together.
He's also amazed they're touching like this given how he and Kanesada dodged for the entirety of the morning. But...something's off.]
Fuck. [That's all he says before he steps aside to let them come in.] Come on, inside. We were going to start warning people but I didn't think this would be back to back. Izuminokami, are you okay to carry her?
[He can switch? It's fine? For once he actually looks pretty worried because what happened to you both. He'll also just start ushering them toward the couch while looking them over for obvious injuries.]
[ his own movements are a little stiffer than usual, but sure enough, he manages to bring tamamo to the couch and carefully set her down with a quiet grunt of pain. ]
It could be worse, but we were all kind of ambushed.
[Once she's off the other's back, it'll be easier for Junpei to take stock of her injuries.
... Because she's got a knife lodged into the meat of her left arm, above the elbow. Kinda hard to miss that. But despite such a nasty looking injury, it's her right arm she seems to be particular about, trying to keep it pressed tightly to her side.
Tamamo rarely bothers with sleeves so her shoulder is going to look very... off. Like "someone dislocated her damned shoulder" off.]
No, I simply underperformed. [Speaking up after a sigh] I am... unaccustomed to this more human body, and should have accounted for that. The fault is mine.
[Oh jesus. Yeah he kind of looks a little shellshocked and it's hard to say if it's because of the knife, the shoulder, or the shape of the knife itself. He allows his eyes to scan over everything, mouth hanging open like he can't think of what to say and he runs a hand over his face.]
I don't think it's really a fault thing. [He's also glancing at Kanesada to get a gauge of injuries. It's probably harder to tell, but also...aaaaaah.] What do you mean you got ambushed? Where did you go?
[He's going to just. Kind of. Start looking around the room for something. Please sit still and also explain while he roots through things like a mad man.]
The shoulder wasn't her fault. Give me your arm, and try to relax - I'll help you set it back.
[ no word on the knife, though, and kanesan doesn't offer more than that as he kneels before tamamo. his own injury is a bit harder to locate, the only indication being a spot of blood on the back of his kimono. he wears a lot of layers, but carrying someone makes it a bit easier to bleed through them. ]
Tamamo unlocked the door in the waiting room on the lowest level. Each of us saw a vision while we were there, and came out of it with some kind of injury. Hers was the shoulder.
[ if she allows it, he'll carefully pull her arm so the joint will pop back in. ]
You needn't be so gentle, though I appreciate the effort...
[She's not in a position to really fight him on this, regardless. She remains still while he works, jaw tensing some when the bulb of the bone fits back into its socket, but otherwise silent.
... though there is a slight sigh of relief when she can (gingerly) move one arm without trouble. That just leaves the knife, then.]
This will become rather messy, I'm afraid. Master, do you have towels?
[she's trying not to bleed all over your floor]
Kanesan-san is correct, though. We saw visions and were... gifted injuries that corresponded with what we saw.
[YEAH he isn't watching this but he can hear them working behind him. Ugh. He'll go fetch some towel while they're explaining though.]
Do you know what the room was? What kind of vision involves all of this..? [He'll come back in a few seconds, dubiously staring at the knife and also watching Kanesada closely.] Especially when a knife, probably, needs to be controlled by somebody else.
Do you have something to use as a sling? Your arm will need to rest after that.
[ he'll stand back then, because this is junpei's room and his servant. they can handle the rest. ]
The knife wasn't part of the vision. Mine was of three people, one of whom was stabbed through the back. I assume Tamamo's involved someone's shoulder being dislocated, or worse.
As for the room... It was an office, with a computer and documents, but there was also a cell inside. The knife was in there.
I'll find something appropriate... perhaps bandages if there are any available on the ship.
[And -- listen, the moment Tamamo sees the towel, she is going to reach for it, her other hand already positioned to yank the knife straight out of her arm like it's a splinter.]
And yes, Kanesan-san, it was much worse. Someone's arm was completely ripped off. I suppose in that vein, I'm quite fortunate I have two functioning limbs, damaged though they are.
[Glancing somberly at Junpei, like she's asking for permission to pull the knife out. It's his towel and floor she'll be getting dirty]
Dick has a first aid kit. So do Hizamaru and Higekiri. Go see them, they'll be able to help. [But. God. He doesn't want to watch so he turn away and waves a hand. Go ahead Tamamo...]
So it was an office of some kind. Just you two? Was there anything else in the cell or the documents? [...ugh.] Sorry, we have suspicions about the rooms and we need to be sure. [But he's being a good master and hovering with a second towel just in case.]
Yeah, I would like to see for myself but it can wait. [He's wincing when the knife comes out, but he hands over the towels before pausing to interrupt.] Shouldn't we maybe tourniquet your arm to stop the bleeding? Holding a towel to it will only work for so long.
[...even as he says that though, he can't deny that his thoughts wander.] A ritual circle like the ones we keep seeing on Sunday? What did she look like?
[Honestly the player just forgot tourniquets were a thing but it's cool, Tamamo is old enough to forget they're also a thing]
Should we? [Squinting at her arm which is, you guessed it, still guzzling blood.] Very well. What is on hand that we can use for one? [Should she try and use the towel for that? Doesn't sound like it'll have enough grip to get the job done.
Anyway she's still dumb and will try and walk straight to the bathroom for warm water despite the fact that she is losing a lot of blood. This is why you can't have Heroic Spirits turn into humans.]
We can probably cut up one of the towels to be thinner. [He thinks? That sounds right. Also the problem is he's not thinking once Tamamo starts to walk because he's taking a step forward and scooping up his fox wife to carry her.
This is a bad idea. But he blinks rapidly and takes a breath to steel himself and carry her.]
--Izuminokami, you still have your sword? Help me out here.
[ well he was going to offer to help her move since he's already aphro'd but sure, let's add another one to the mix. why not. with a shake of his head, kanesan follows - he doesn't particularly want to leave tamamo just yet, anyway. ]
Of course.
[ using a sword to cut a towel isn't really ideal, but after a bit of trouble, he'll make it work. ]
[She is literally lusting after three people at once.
God, she is tired.
-- Though to be fair to Junpei, she was two seconds away from passing out so this is still a more ideal situation. Her head thunks against him because she just can't be assed to move now, and she'll make some kind of "let's get this over with" gesture once the towels are cut.]
I'm busy concentrating on staying conscious, so just move me as you wish, Master.
[Always assume Junpei will do at least one stupid thing a week. He doesn't mind that Kanesada's sticking around. He actually prefers the extra company and help. But he's ignoring his own lust and quickly walking ahead, but hearing that means he can at least turn and lightly bump his face into her hair. They already fucked up, it's fine. Upon entering the bathroom, he's settling on the edge of the bathtub to turn on the faucet for Tamamo's arm, shifting her while the towels are prepared.]
...still want to know more about the visions, by the way.
[ a nod while he works, and he'll hand the cut towels over to junpei as they're done. ]
There were three people in mine - a woman with long hair, a man, and a third I couldn't see very well. The man was injured, possibly dead, so she was trying to use katsu to revive him. The third came up behind her with a knife in their hands.
Whoever they are, they stabbed her through the lung. She would have died.
[She'll feel the bump against her hair and murmur something intelligible but probably affectionate given how she relaxes. Sorry Kanesan has to witness all of this PDA.
She struggles to speak up after Kanesan does, however, forcing herself to rouse just as a stream of warm water hits her open wound.]
She did die... she was stabbed by the one I saw in my vision -- the woman with short hair. She used the first woman's corpse in the ritual circle, though whatever she summoned must have been displeased...
[He's not great at it, but he can try to at least help keep her conscious and clean out the wound while he's talking and going about getting the makeshift tourniquet ready.]
You think maybe those were the people who started this process the first time they were here? Too bad we didn't get any names. It seems a little too suspicious that that's the vision you all saw. Did Grune tell you what she witnessed?
It could be. And if it is, then even without their names, it’s a little more than we had to go on before.
[ but he’ll just. shake his head tiredly to answer junpei. ]
Not yet. Getting Tamamo’s wounds taken care of was more important, but I’m planning to talk to Grune about it as soon as I can. If we’re all injured, maybe she’ll be more likely to remember it for at least that long.
There's equal chance her mind will reject both the pain and the memory along with it, if we're unlucky. And besides, I do not want her to be alone in her discomfort.
[Blood loss is no joke and there is a slow, sleepy haze beginning to lower over her. She reclines her head into Junpei's shoulder.]
Master, interrogate us later. I cannot stay awake, and I'll likely get the details wrong as I am now...
Good job, both of you. [Like just saying. Y'all suffered for something that's still useful. Tamamo's arm is at least tied off to stop the bleeding enough and when she leans her head into his shoulder he doesn't push her away. He's shifting her in his lap to let her settle.]
...it's not a bad idea. Both of you should rest but if you feel up to it, Izuminokami, I'd appreciate you checking on Grune as well. Usually after things like these people should be around others. At least make sure she got back to Higekiri and Hizamaru.
[Silly nickname and all. But with that taken care of, Tamamo doesn't even bother trying to stay awake. There's one last apology to Junpei before her eyes drift shut and it is lights out for her.
0/10, zero stars, would not recommend the security office]
Thanks. [It's echoed even as he slowly stands and shifts to more or less carry Tamamo in his arms. Aphro-week still sucks, but he's inhaling deeply and ignoring his own lust for the time being.]
